McAntler would seem to have a pretty good all-round game. Looked to be able to do it all.

Seriously though, we’re a football club, not a psychiatrist. Most 18 year old ■■■■■ I’ve known have still been ■■■■■ at 30. Always exceptions of course, but you’d be overrating our club to think we’re something special and can turn him around. If he can play footy like D Martin then you wouldn’t complain too much.
I thought what he did was eye catchingly impressive, although he does seem to kick across the ball. Didn’t get it a lot but I’m not sure he was given all that many opportunities.(I can’t help thinking players in this sort of set up would be playing their own trumpets rather than percentages).
Personally I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t make some sort of impact at senior level, hopefully on the field rather than off. Has real toe and power it seems.

The thing about Ainsworth is he is what every team would want.
A better version of Ballantyne with a better leap and great hands.
But it’s like every team wants a Mark Bagely type or a Hocking type. They are first picked and they are great to have but you are not going to use pick 1 for them.
I was really impressed today. His leap and hands are great and he is tough. It wasn’t his day today but there will be plenty of days that are.
