Electric blue kind of fits with the killers if you ask me.
Nah im in Sydney. They are playing I think on the 29th. Think it’s a sellout but soem last minute tickets might come up.
Caught Viagra boys last year.
Next gig for me is stoner. Greenleaf.
You would know Idles.
They started the gig splitting the mosh pit in two(hordern pav which is a pretty big venue). The crowd ran at each other when they started and it was hectic for 2 hours straight.
Oh and a sensational circle pit erupted around the lead guitar and bass player when they jumped into the crowd.
Quality stuff. Although I do think I getting to old to roll with 20 year olds
Great energy.
How did it work at the Bowl?
I didn’t because of the venue.
I took my young fella down to see Amyll and the Sniffers on Friday night.
He doesn’t get many chances to see punk bands at all ages venues…. So he was excited for it.
Was a good night. I’ve only ever seen Amyl at small pubs like The Old Bar and Last Chance…… was very different feel at Sidney Mayer music bowl.
I’m seeing Rose Tattoo tonight, down at St Kilda. Rose Tattoo on Australia Day, what could go wrong? Should be fine, I think Angry is the only original member left, so it is a bit like a Rosie Tatts cover band but what the hell, looking forward to it.
Been that way for many, many years. Just enjoy it for what it is.
I think Angry might even be the last man still on this mortal coil from the classic Tatts line-up. If not, pretty close to it.
Went to the 2nd Cold Chisel 50th concert on the Gold Coast in October and went to the 2nd last one yesterday in NZ. So many teenage memories include Cold Chisel and Jimmy Barnes music.
Sounds as though you had a great night. I saw them as well, and thought they were ace. I was a bit worried about how they would go at a much bigger outdoor venue, but thought they put on a good show. How great is it to see a show from a hometown band that were playing small venues a few years ago?
I also saw Idles a few days before that (free last-minute ticket from a friend!), and am seeing Supersuckers/Nashville ■■■■■ tonight, and then Flaming Lips on Saturday.
Would have loved to get to the Tote to see that. But couldn’t make it work.
Such a bugger that they were both playing on Friday night.
My first gig for a little while. Expecting it to be a ball tearer
Rose Tattoo at the Prince. Half full room, Angry put on a show but it was a weird ending. They completed a song and just walked off. No see ya later and they didn’t play We can’t be beaten. The security guards were as non plussed as the rest of us.
Supersuckers and Nashville ■■■■■. The Tote.
Probably the loudest gig I’ve ever been to. Not sure what was going on there, but I had to reach for the ear plugs.
Supersuckers were great, but I guess it’s been 30 years, so wasn’t sure what to expect.
I’d never seen NP live, and only know a few tracks. The lead guitarist is a woman, almost 60 years of age. In leopard skin Lycra!. She just tore it up.
Best show I’ve seen for a while.
I always wear earplugs at the Tote.
It’s just ■■■■■■■ loud.

Rose Tattoo at the Prince. Half full room, Angry put on a show
When I saw RT last November, Angry had pretty well lost his voice, not that he was ever a good singer anyway.
Too many ciggies in his younger days I suspect
Damn, if I could afford the time off I’d make my way down to see 'em.
Guitar Wolf are awesome!
