Can GNR tour but not have Axl sing?

I understand given how he sings (and his lifestyle!) that at some point his voice would give out, so it’s not having a go at him, but it all becomes a bit karaoke with where his voice is at now. It’s a hell of a band behind him, though.

Just got home from Dream Theater.

Hooooooooly ■■■■ that was incredible.

Riverboats Festival in Echuca

Day 1 - Review

Norwood - excellent tunes, will look them up

Full Flower Moon Band - interesting, didnt really work in an outdoor festival environment. Maybe need to see in grungy sticky carpet venue

Baker Boy - Amazing, he just keeps on getting better.

Saw Dream Theater in ’09 at the Palais on their Black Clouds & Silver Linings tour. I’d call myself a casual fan of the band, but you can’t deny the talent of James LaBrie, John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy. LaBrie, in particular, sounded great live.

@Doggatron Know you’re not a gig person but is Slowmosa on your radar? re: stoner?

They are touring Oz I think for the first time in May.

Riverboats festival in Echuca - Day 2 &3

Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham - very easy listening

Andrew Gurruwiwi - excellent and some brilliant covers thrown in

Bleak Squad - not memorable but great musos

Emma Donovan: Take me to the River - sensational singing and story telling

Cash Savage & The Last Drinks - needs to be in a grungy sticky carpet venue

The Living End - they rocked, as expected

Daisy Killbourne - very easy listening

The Counterfeit - 10 excellent spaghetti westerns musos just having fun

An excellent weekend away.

How do they incorporate the boats into the festival?

They have sideshows on the boats. Small intimate shows that differ from their main stage show. Not all acts do the paddlesteamer shows.

That sounds like a fun event. Do you have the website to keep in mind for the next one they hopefully do?

Best weekend every year. Living End 3 piece awesome Sat night energy and shout to Merpire who I didn’t know but has a wonderful voice. Xavier Rudd nailed the Sunday arvo finish slot and Cash Savage can leave the politics for her individual gigs cause it was completely inappropriate for a Saturday afternoon at Riverboats.

Bad Bunny at Sydney Saturday night.

Chartered a Qantas A380 (485 seats) to fly empty to Brazil and pick him and around 80 of his entourage up and fly them to Sydney

Wow.

Also I’m a bit cut I didn’t know about this for I assume a cut price South American holiday at the last minute.

Or Qantas would just send her empty because?

Flew over empty apart from staff.

Not allowed to take passengers

Should be in the climate change thread. Should be laws against it.

At least it confirms my suspicion that not only does this bloke have a stupid name, he’s also a farkwit.

I was at OK Motels on the weekend. Just a wild wild wild time.

The Pretty Littles, Cosmic Psychos pool party was madness.

Harmony, Frenzee, Empty Threats and Lambrini Girls were all great punk acts.

Yeah I wanted to see Lambrini girls here(Sydney). Left it too late and sold out.

Think they would be a lot of fun.
