Anyone else here going to kid Congo powers on November 9? A bunch of us are going…
Going to see Mark of Cain on Saturday. At the Corner
Tool are touring in FEB - ALERT ALERT
I read somewhere that Rage Against the Machine have reformed…
Don’t worry about touring… I was hoping they might find time at some stage to release a standard CD version of Fear Inoculum, so that you don’t need to put a second mortgage on your house to get hold of it…
word going round was that its in the works a few weeks back but havent heard anything since.
i got the limited edition version and im scared to take it out of the room where i keep it.
Playing Coachella and a number of Mexico Border shows.

Taking youngest Bomber son to his first KISS concert up in Sydney in a few weeks time
He dug out a bunch of my old childhood vinyl but we didn’t have a turntable to listen to them on so he’s been bashing away on his electronic drum set to Strutter / Detroit Rock City etc etc with Spotify
He’s pretty pumped to go now he got the tix for his 13th birthday
Talk about showing my age, I remember when Kiss first toured Oz in about 1978 and my mum and dad let me go with a neighbor of ours who was only a few years older than me
No matter what sort of a money grubbing prick Gene Simmons has become they’ve always put on a great live show & young Bomber is in for a treat
Clutch are good, but once is enough. In flames would be great but it’s wayyyyy past their day. Jimmy eat world’s new stuff sucks. I’ve seen in flames and all the other main acts before, not worth ticket price yet.
How was the gig?
Were always great live.
Saw the Dandy Wahols 25 anniversary show the other night at the forum. Big fan but this felt like they mailed it in.
Doesn’t it just! Saw them play in New Jersey around the time of “Bleed AmerIcan” (they just happened to be playing there when I was on a work trip…). They were blistering!
Anyone see the encore list from U2’s first show of their ANZ Joshua Tree run?
encore(s):
Elevation (from All That You Can’t Leave Behind, 2000)
Vertigo (from How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, 2004)
Even Better Than The Real Thing (from Achtung Baby, 1991)
Every Breaking Wave (from Songs of Innocence, 2014)
Beautiful Day (from All That You Can’t Leave Behind, 2000)
Ultraviolet (Light My Way) (from Achtung Baby, 1991)
Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way (from Songs of Experience, 2017)
One (from Achtung Baby, 1991)
Farken hell!! Of all the songs they’ve got in their repertoire, these are the ones they chose to run with? The Joshua Tree tracks would be worth seeing, but meh… it’s far from my fave album of theirs and I can always go listen to it if I want to hear it in order.
Happy to have saved my money, rather than paying a motza to see a band well and truly past their prime…
Just checked out their set list.
They also start with Sunday ■■■■■■ Sunday, New Years Day, Bad and Pride, and they tack Angel of Harlem onto the end of the Joshua Tree set.
I’ve seen them twice, and Joshua Tree isn’t my favourite of theirs so I’ll be giving this a miss, but I don’t understand your specific complaint about the set list.
Outside of One, for me that encore list is awful!
My least favourites off Achtung, two from their poxy Songs… albums, my most hated off …Atomic Bomb and All That You…, and Beautiful Day which is just ok. I dislike Angel of Harlem too, so that doesn’t help. I may as well leave after the first four songs and go home and play JT.
So…you’re cranky that they’re playing anything from the last twenty years?
No - that they’re not playing anything decent from the last 20 years.
Atomic Bomb had decent stuff on it.
Horizon had decent stuff on it.
Pop had decent stuff on it (and a lot of crap…)
Electrical Storm was a belter.
