The concert and gig thread

Was he the guy that ended up being broke and a taxi driver?

Hmmm… good question. He’s been with The HO’s the whole way through as far as I know. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t been a cabbie though… rock n’ roll doesn’t necessarily pay the bills…

Agree although never seen Priest so looking forward to that. It’s 3 day tickets only so I don’t need to choose🤘

That’s Blackie, who drove a taxi and got seriously bashed by teens one night.

Descendents were ace. They didn’t take a breath for 70 or 80 minutes and belted out all the classics in fine fashion. Found myself in the pit a few times, screaming along.

I need the descendents proprietry water bottle with bandolier! Not sure I’ll be able to get that close at The Forum.

And an acoustic bit of waiting on you (pink bside) which was mega , Ive seen em bunch of times, still worth it imo
=w=

That was always going to happen…

If I’d gone it would have been all Beverley Hills, We’re All On Drugs, The Girl Got Hot and I’m Your Daddy.

You can thank me later.

We basically got the entire blue album which was a little disappointing as two tours ago they played it from start to finish.

You could see why though. By far biggest crowd reaction was all the Blue stuff.

My fav Weeze albums are MB, EWBRITE, Hurley & Pinkerton so didn’t get a lot of my favs but was really happy with the overall set.

Surprisingly they completely missed a number of albums all together. Nothing from white, black, VW, PD, Raditude, Hurley and only the instrumentals from EWBRITE.

And the crowd should be very, very happy about that…

The relative lack of EWBAITE is surprising… comfortably their best collection of songs after the first 4 albums.

30th anniversary of iconic Melbourne hardcore band Mindsnare last night. Looks like it was a typically excellent performance. Might try and see the associated art show tomorrow.

For cross reference if set list.com were close

Edit: almost identical.

I know it’s a bit of a cop out using it, but some bands have been around so long, and ticket prices are getting up there…

…if Descendents don’t play Coolidge week after next, I will burn the forum down.

Yeah, was looking at that before. Not far off at all.
