Labuschagne isn’t in the squad yet either so he’d have to be on standby. Although I’m not super convinced that BOTH Smith and Lab in the same team is the right approach. To be fair to him he has made runs here though and generally at a decent clip.

Yeah I don’t think you can play both smith and lab in the same team. Depends if smith is still carrying his injury, as lab would be the perfect backup.
Does lab or short play IPL?
Short does, as of this year. Lab doesn’t.
