The Cricket Thread (part 6) - from July 2023 (Bartholemew Frinton-Smythe, Humphrey Wigbert-Porter, and Quinten Breckenridge)

@Houli_Dooley made the call before the SA series that this was the format he was best suited to and it is proving to be the case. Hopefully he can keep it going for another 2 months.

Comedy runout between Green and Inglis. 5/186.

What was Inglis doing there? He saw Green coming back to the danger end and then just turned his back on him.

Actually watching the replay I don’t think he was watching Green at all, he was ball watching.

Because of how slow we went for a long period, they are now trying to go the slog and failing miserably. This lineup will not win the WC.

Why does Green continue to get games?

I mean…winning the World Cup is a kind of harsh benchmark.

I wouldn’t put it beyond them, though.
We have wicket-takers.
I think we have a Very good squad, even if the final eleven is still kind of up in the air.

Green missed almost all the South African series. He’s a genuine match winner.

The Aussie squad is very strong. The only real weakness is they are missing another really good all rounder

Marsh is fantastic
maxwell or green need to step up

I don’t understand this stoinis opening the bowling tactic

Not sure I really understand Stoinis bowling at all.
