Hard to tell.
Stokes papers over a lot of cracks in that team. He’s two players in 1, plus he has that X-factor/big game player intangible quality about him. I don’t know whether he will be right for the next game, but he is a critical piece if they are to defend their title.
He was opening, unimpressively, for their test side 2 or 3 years ago…so, not me.

Please David. The reaction was justified in terms of your place in the test side given your output. It comes with the territory and you’re not immune.
Still looks as sharp as ever in ODI Cricket though and will play a key role for us in this WC.

Carnegie-Brown the MCC Chair seems to have got hold of this behaviour and making a fair few changes. And a good job he has too. Many of those at the time were right off the leash. Some might count themselves v lucky to be in there still, given what went on.
