You don’t learn by being thrown to the wolves either. He is a million miles off being an opener, leave him at 4-6 and let him work on his deficiencies

He might be eager but if you haven’t got the technique you haven’t got it. He will continue to fail opening IMO which does no one any good. I’d much rather see him come in the middle until the end of this season and play his shots until he fixes a few flaws in the offseason hopefully and it will serve him better in the long run. He didn’t look comfortable at all going out to bat today and I was only about 5m away from him and he seemed on edge

Williamson absolutely loves batting at Hamilton. Averages over 90. He’s making a difficult chase look easy.
That’s his 32nd century. He’s got there faster than Smith and Ponting and everyone else who has made 32 test hundreds.

Remarkable given he had about 12-18 months where he was riddled with injury. An unflappable character, great technique, love his cherry stained bat!

Haris Rauf’s central contract has been revoked by the PCB following his refusal to join Pakistan’s Test squad for their tour of Australia.
He will also not be granted permission to play in any overseas leagues up to June 30, 2024

Now Pakistan are forcing him to play for them until his contract expires on 30 June and won’t release him to play any T20 cricket in that time.
