I think he’s serious quality and can fix it. But it’s an easily exploited technique flaw.

I would not be surprised if a little bit of Pat’s thinking was our top order on a new greenish pitch. He may have thought about putting NZ in 1st and hopefully exploit the pitch as much as possible and when it is our turn to bat the pitch is even flatter for our openers.
He may not have thought that way, but i wouldn’t be surprised if he did.

Josh with a Jaffa, picks up Mitchell caught behind. A really nice nut, pitched on the stumps, hit the seam and moved away a little but not before it took a healthy edge to Carey. NZ 4/79, Aussies well on top now.
