Current ICC test batting and bowling rankings

I have legit never heard of Prabath Jayasuriya

He’s only the bloke who took 12 wickwts on debut to guide Sri Lanka to an innings victory over Australia 2 years ago

Lyon at #6 in the world is kinda nuts.

It’s pretty harsh on him . I think the world rankings definitely favour the guy whose country plays a stack of cricket all year round

I fully expect him to be back at the top come January once your series with India is finished

Jayasuriya has played 5 Tests, for 20 wickets @ 39 in the last calendar year. A single 5-for, at home, vs the might of Afghanistan, in a narrow 10 wicket win, last August.

And people take the rankings seriously?

Bangas about to sweep Pakistan in the two test series. With how heated things got between Dizzy and the players I’d imagine he will be sacked in the coming days

Interesting to see how they go. Warner, Maxwell, Wade, Cummins & Starc out from the last time we played.

Not much in the way of spin options beside Zampa.

A Trav special to start the tour on a winning note

Thanks for reminding me, you bastards.
Coulda been watching.

I have tickets to the Sept 13th game in Wales

The Tos and Froms have selected the most unlikely bolter you’ll ever see to make his debut against Sri Lanka in the final Test of the English summer at The Oval. 20-year old Josh Hull, 6ft 7in left-arm fast bowler from Leicestershire has a modest 16 wickets at 62.75 from 10 career FC matches and 2 wickets at 182.5 in his 3 County Championship games this season, yet he gets the nod in place of Matthew Potts.

Had a look at the replay to see Travs innings and saw the Inglis non call.
WTAF was he thinking?
Not sure why he wasn’t given out

One thing i have loved about McCullum’s time in charge, is his willingness to back in youth and give them a go. He see’s something specific in a young player and gives them a shot, even if the County record isn’t amazing.

He and the selectors concentrate on the now while always having one eye firmly fixed on the future. The young guys they pick have normally come in and done a very good job from the start

he is the anti Brad Scott

That sounds more like a Sheedy like selection

Old mate was called back several times during the T20WC for doing it, seems the long ball is dead…

One hour heads up for the next game against Scotland.

Man, I miss Tests.
Why do England get to play seventy kabillion against minnows and pump up their averages and we only play top tier, and that rarely?

We play a lot more tests. Our scheduling is brutal. In just over a month we are going to Pakistan for a 3 test series

You guys have spent 2 summers in a row beating up West Indies, Pakistan and SA -getting your averages up
