Time for some runs to flow with this new ball.
Has Sri Lanka consideredā¦. a fast bowler to come into the attack to break this partnership.
Wtf is the gameplay, keep it under 5 an over?
I assume weāll be throwing the ball around a lot more than Sri Lanka.
If youāre not getting variation off the pitch, thenā¦Iām not sure sticking with four bowlers is the way to go.
And⦠raining.
Iād throw it to a part-timer. Just try something, they might lose concentration and hit a pie straight down the throat of a fielder in the outfield.
Off for rain. 2/330.
Khawaja could probably use the mental break, but I hope we donāt lose too much time this Test.
Has Uzzie batted all day in a helmet?
Whoah, thatās a lot of covers.
Sri Lanka were as bad as Australia were good.
That was abysmal from the Sri Lankans
Hard to believe they were in the running for the Test Championship match for so long.
They must play better away, or???
Theyāve won 5 tests this WTC period:
2 vs Bangladesh (away)
1 vs England (away)
2 vs NZ (home)
Awful fielding and DRS work by them, Aussies gotta be looking at 500 +
Root is good but heās a few steps below Smith. Smith could be the second best test batsman of all time.
You canāt have him over the little master.
This is what I love about cricket the debate but in my mind

Iāve seen innings from Tendulkar where he doesnāt even look like getting out. Youāre kind of hoping for a fly to land on his nose or something, because thatās the only way.
Warwick Todd had it right.
Warwick Todd Australian Test Team opposition player assessments.
Player: girl.

Tendulkar: tends to lose concentration briefly after reaching a double century.

I loved watching Sachin bat as a kid I idolised him and wanted a MRF bat so badly
I met Sachin a couple of times in Adelaide as my younger brother worked for a mob that produced custom made orthotics and Sachin was a big customer of theirs. He would always visit them whilst in Adelaide and whilst he was there one day we got on to the subject of batting as you do and I asked him what was the key to him being so rarely dismissed LBW in test cricket. He laughed and said that he had a good eye but went on to say that a trick he used was to have custom made pads that were about 1 inch shorter than normal. In Australia especially the umpires wonāt give you out of it hits you above the knee roll so with the modified pads when he did happen to get hit on the pads which wasnāt often it was above the knee roll and the umps would never give that out
