Brilliantly played. Might be the first day this series Australia could say they “won”.
Excellent day of cricket that.
Cant stand this pink ball stuff.
Fancy having to wait until 3pm for each days play. This is for making it easier to watch in India im guessing
They didn’t leave though, they are all in the tents and bars out the back. Majority of people stay for the whole day
It’s great.
That’s what great about test cricket. Tough, hard and uncompromising. You don’t need a ■■■■ load of runs to make cricket enjoyable.
Looks like the Aussies have approached their batting with a definite plan, to wear down the Indian bowlers. If that is so, then so far it looks like the plan is working. Not pretty cricket, dour stuff, but enthralling. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Super impressed with McSweeney’s temperament and calmness in extremely tough conditions. Not entirely convinced about him technically but I’ll take his attitude every time. Looks an old school player and boy do we need one.
Very good batting there, particularly by McSweeney don’t think he’ll end up being an opener, definitely number 4/5
I waaaay prefer an 11am start
Nah, twilight is where it’s at.
Just like the afl grand final will be….
Nope, this was an Australian initiative. India even refused to play pink ball cricket for sometime and have only played one or two.

Twilight? Its 10.40pm
Yeah but the transfer from day to night is peak cricket.
Day drinking from 11am, lunch and tea at the cricket is where its at

Love the pink ball stuff for the contrast.
As for the Indian audience? They will happily stay up all day and night to watch a test match. You do realize we have had pink ball tests for a while now, and against teams other than India.
6 wickets by Starc is equivalent to a 150 as a batsman. Pretty rare stuff.
TV ratings rule the decision in the end.
I love it.
You can still do all those things.
