Haven't they beaten us the last two times they have been here? I know last time we were in winning positions twice and couldn't get the win and in perth they creamed us.
Two years ago we were bowled out for 47 and came back and won the next test to tie the series.
You'd expect the Aussies to already be making plans against their batsmen, but you'd also expect them to be smarter, more patient, less stupid, dare I say it...more dour than the English.
It's a shame the ■■■■■■ Saffers won't play a five Test series anymore.
Not even convinced Johnson is our best bowler, Harris' series was pretty ■■■■■■ good.
harris' series was good but if them 5 tests didn't convince you Johnson is our best bowler...well nothing will
Seriously? You're kidding aren't you?
Johnson has to back it up against a team that isn't mentally beaten first. If he's our best bowler over there I'll agree with you, but it's a long way from a foregone conclusion.
The Poms were mentally shot by stumps on day 2 of the first test.

I don't understand why South Africa won't come here for a 5 test summer.
Their crowds are so rubbish, surely they'd make more money coming here than playing a home test series.
Maybe as an incentive CA should offer to play a 7 match ODI series in South Africa before or after the tests. South Africans seem keener to attend ODIs.

They're sooking about us not going there for Boxing Day.

I know, but I don't see the point. Even if we did go you'd only get about 1000 people turn up each day and half of them would be Aussie tourists.
If they start getting decent crowds then they can sook.
My god how much chicken must KFC be selling. I don’t really like the stuff but I’m completely brain washed after watching the cricket this summer. Can’t wait to have some now. Everywhere I look I see KFC

I just remember how sick I've been a couple of times.

Mostly thanks to Johnson
England weren't mentally shot before they faced Johnson, they were complacent.
And any team that is mentally shot on the second day of a five Test series...shouldn't be top six, let alone aiming to regain number one.

sickening but delicious at the same time. Nothing repeats on you more than a Zinger at 3am after a night out

I went to the gabba on day two. At tea I went to grab another ridiculously over priced beer and two English guys walk by me.
"What happened?"
"We just f***ing capitulated."
And that was largely due to Johnson, I think. He rattled them like Warne did a couple of decades ago. Perhaps worse. They knew they didn't have an answer to him and weren't going to get one soon. Fans that had travelled half way around the world for the tour were leaving during the last session, with only the Barmy Army hanging in there singing their songs robotically.
Anyway, some interesting Ashes stats for the six series from 2005 onwards:
Not even convinced Johnson is our best bowler, Harris' series was pretty ■■■■■■ good.

yeah im serious. He's currently probably the most in form fast bowler in the world. He's easily our best bowler, of course thats just my opinion
