This could have gone in the What annoys threadâŚ
Walking pooch this morning, heâs found something on the edge of the path and took it in his mouth and started crunching away. I donât know what it was - sounded a bit like a chunky bone, but could have been anything. Took him by the collar and told him to drop it but he wouldnât, and wouldnât open his mouth. I gave him a mild clip across the ears to try to get some compliance, but he was intent on swallowing whatever it was, and did. As this was happening a car drove by, driver yelling out the window âstop doing that to your dogâ. Reaction from me, as I was still dealing with dog, was a swift Fark Off. âOh thatâs real niceâ comes the reply. FFS, how about just minding your own business?
Now, thereâs probably some here that would agree a clip across the ears isnât appropriate and/or effective (apparently not), so have at it.
If on a leash/ lead a little smack on his behind with the slack just to let him know whoâs boss and that youâre annoyed at him. Itâs what I do when mine growls at other dogs while walking. Funny, he never used to growl at all but does now as heâs got older and grumpier. She who must be obeyed reckons heâs taking after me.
Does she take the whip to you ?

I mean, this is so funny and adorable, but I canât help but wonder if itâs AI. There are so many vids floating around that are and I canât tell whatâs real and whatâs fake now.

Getting worried about our little Kuti. Off to the vet in an hour. Second time in aweek, thistime for abloodtest. She has virtually stopped eating, everything! A week ago she vomited 4 times in one day. She had a shot and stopped being sick, but still wouldnât eat. She has been drinking 3 - 4 times what she normally does. Then she was sick again last night afterveating a bit off apple. Hoping for the best but fearing the worst. Never a big dog she has gone from 6.1 to 5.8 kg in about a week.Fingers crossed she will be okay.

Assuming theyâve checked/checking for kidney issues or diabetes?
Not a snake bite?
They took rhe blood sample yesterday, should get results by tomorrow at the latest. I fear kidney failure. No sign of any snake bite. I just spent 20 min cleaning her up after a massive attack of diarrhoea, a first for her. We are on the road and a long way from home and the vet. She is not travelling well.

She has taken a turn for the worse. Had a massive diarrhoea attack a couple of hours ago. Her breathing is a bit forced. We took her to get a bath and she couldnât walk. Straight into a nearby emergency hospital. We are waiting to hear from the vet right now. At best she will be in for an overnight stay. I am not confident right now.
