The fixture is in - 2022

My money is on a decisive R1 Bomber win v Cats at the G. We will run all over them.

It’ll be the youngest team they field all year.

We will do to them what the Bulldogs did to Freo in round 1, 2016.

Maybe the CoVid?

Ha, The Cats.

I’m predicting we’ll cut, slice and dice. We’ll smash, crash and bash. We’ll play with enormous control, utilising pinpoint precision all while displaying great ball control, ball handling, gut running, defensive skills, attacking flair and cohesive team work.

Expect to see one of the greatest, most accomplished and exhilarating Essendon Football Club team efforts since the year 2000.

Essendon to win by 3 points.

What an opportunity!!!
In the with the new, out with the old. Literally.
Clearly the MCG change rooms have been updated to better accomodate senior citizens and their carers.
Bombers by 10 goals!!!

Agree

Poor old LAV.

Finally puts together a comprehensive season, then cops Geelong in round 1.

Actually does this mean we finally avoid a BS preseason game against Geelong?
Seems to have been a regular fixture since 2016.

I think the Hawks are odds on for round 2 in Sydney.

That’s the matchup that works for Bud and the way the hawks are at, probably a good chance for him to kick a few.

If he doesn’t kick his 1000th look for him to be rested in round 3.

After the siren??

It’s gonna be big!

Hobbs straight into the forwardline

Caldwell our bull
Parish and Merrett dynamic duo
Shiel will be immense

BUT the package is the big one looking forward to the most to see.

The Geelong game meant we’d get a regional game in Corio.
If that’s scrapped, then I’d expect a Perth game with a follow up game in Sydney.
