The old Conrad Jupiters was awesome.
The layout inside the facility was so much better.
I remember the days of catching the monorail across from the Oasis to Jupiters.

Yeah, the heady days of the Gold Coast… The monorail. Expo88 in Brisbane. Grundy’s. People drinking Crown Lager out of fluted beer glasses.

No Autumn up there BF, no glorious smokey, sunny Autumn with the loveliest nip of winter. Hope you find the ideal spot to warm your bones, the hinterland’s nice when it’s not a tropical hell zone.

Nonsense BF, The GGC abounds with gloriously titularly crisp, sublime, hazy Autumns with that slightly chilly edge of the impending mild winter perfectly matching your slightly chilled pinot noir and the slightly chilled grapes on your charcuterie board.

I must say, Mrs. Fox has impeccable taste.

Nothing spectacular about green and brown…also known as grass and dirt.

The vivid deep greens of the cooch, the red and brown ochres of the rich volcanic soils up north here on the GGC have been immortalized in innumerable art.

Looks like the artist use quite a bit of artistic licence there :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The ETs are so frickin smart these days. They realise the Glorious Gold Coast is Earth’s weakest link, so they attack here first.
I better get ready to save the world…again

Leaving this inglorious place after a week of crap weather. Star Hotel is poor, and the traffic is horrible.

Found a great house at Paradise Point that we can afford, but why would anyone want to live here???

I was actually thinking of you and how you lucked out. Last 3 days the coldest days there in 5 months. Abd silly as it seems, I’m back in Melbourne for a few weeks and the suns out! Although it’s still chilly, certainly cold at night / mornings which I’m not used to. That aside, the GC is by enlarge a wonderful place to be.

It’s very strange BF, maybe you brought some Melbourne/ Victorian weather here and dmaplestone took our weather there. It’s like you two have a connection or something.

It definitely needs to be enlarged (engorged?) to satisfy that criteria.

We’re on the Sunny Coast and it’s been a spate of the most miserable weather I can remember in years.
Bacchus- for 6-8 months of the year it’s usually blue skies, light breeze mid 20’s every day.
And although it’s raining it’s not freeeezing!
(Try the Sunshine Coast -you’ll love it )

Sounds like you are being dragged here against your will. Oh well, there are worse places you could end up. Here is a cheap house I found when I was searching the country for houses for less than $50 000.
