Looks like a Trump Tower in the heart of Surfers.. On the old Iluka site, a block from Cavill Ave. Arguably the number #1 location in Surfers. 101 floors, the GC Mayor to likely head to USA to sign the deal.
Cool.

Surfers Paradise actually isn’t full of rednecks and racists though. It’s mainly young, happy overseas workers on holiday visas or bogan tourists from blue collar areas of Australia on family holidays. There’s no weekly hate protests. No antisemitic car or religious place of worship bombings (yet!!). And it’s booming along in many respects..
In regional areas of QLD it might be different but Surfers itself is anything but the stereotype QLD town from my observations living here.
