Of my list above the least well known would be Cymande in 1972. If you haven’t heard it I recommend rolling a big fat one and immersing yourself in its Afro-reggae-funk-r&b-jazz uniqueness.

Surprised Rodriguez hasn’t been mentioned more too.

Thanks for the review…I’ve never heard of them before today.

I’m doing what I suggested right now

Likewise, I followed the instructions and the led to the right conclusion.
It’s amazing how much good stuff there is from this era to find.
I will be exploring this further.

Arrival and Bollocks in the same list makes me smile.

One puts me back in childhood family holidays, and one was discovered a little later on. Guess which one’s which

The album is only 46 minutes long though. If it were 70+ minutes long and the title track was one of many lengthy tracks I would probably tune out too. But 46 is not a drag, after all, it’s an album experience in its totality we’re here for.

Hey mate…this was released in 1975 so will just delete from your 1976 entry. Did you want me to add it into 1975 for you?

Abba was the later on one

On your advice, I gave it a go.

You’re off the Xmas list.

I guess it’s not for everyone. It’s top 5 for the year for me as I think it was a glimpse of the direction of my favourite genre - alt rock/indy rock while still having a punk and 70s rock aesthetic as well. The guitar is great. It’s not high on my favourite albums but I can still appreciate it.

It’s highly unusual (and Klawdy will back this up) for Klawdy and I to agree musically, but I’m with him on this one.

I found Marquee Moon to be a massive borefest.

Give Cymande a go to see if I can still be on you Xmas list. It is definitely a favourite of mine and a bit of a hidden treasure.
