Your 70s list is pretty good mate.

It’s pretty limited.
I’m sure Bridge is a great album. I’ve just never listened to it.

Does Face To Face need a re-evaluation?
#64 on the greatest Australian albums of all time (although Mathieson contributed to it, so…)

But after Living In The Seventies and name your AC/DC album…it’s one of the first Australian rock albums that you can take seriously.

Side one|No.|Title|Length|
| — | — | — |
|1.|“Straight Jacket”|3:17|
|2.|“After the Rain”|3:08|
|3.|“Love Takes Care”|3:40|
|4.|“Take a Long Line”|2:58|
|5.|“Marseilles”|4:47|

Side two|No.|Title|Length|
| — | — | — |
|6.|“Live It Up”|3:49|
|7.|“Be with You”|3:41|
|8.|“Outcast”|4:42|
|9.|“I Ain’t the One”|2:29|
|10.|“Comin’ Down”|3:19|

Good lord.
I’m counting seven absolute gems.

Face To Face is a brilliant album.

The Angel are the best live band I’ve ever seen.

When you say Bridge…do you mean Bridge Over Troubled Water?

I do.
I saw The Angels on their 25th anniversary tour, when they were ‘past it.’
They melted my friggin’ face off.

Edit: oh, and Mrs Wim has a Doc tie. Before my time.

I saw them at their peak…I remember seeing them New Years Eve at a pub in Mooloolabah…just absolutely brilliant…and when they supported AC/DC on their Back In Black tour…they blew AC/DC off the stage.

As for Bridge Over Troubled Water…it’s a superb album…beautiful harmonies, 5-6 of their hits…well worth a listen.

I’m sure it’s great.
Of course I’ve heard the hits, I’ve just never listened to the album so I can’t in all good faith…

I pegged you to have some funky/disco/soul poppy numbers.

Do yourself a favour, etc. It’s a superb album.

If you’ve never heard ‘Ramble Tamble’, you’re in for a sumptuous treat.

It’s my favourite Creedence song from a very, very strong field of candidates.

I thought somebody would of listed Flash and the Pan?

My God I think we might be brothers. My Dad had all those on high rotation. Mrs Mills Honky Tonk piano. I’d forgotten all about her!!

James Last Orchestra was huge in our household too. Geez looking at him now, he looks like the old guy we were warned to keep clear of at the local playground!

Willy Glahe and His Dancing Fingers was another of Dad’s favourites. Us kids used to call him Willy Galah and His Dancing Accordions. Ahhh happy memories. Thanks Chewy.

Yep James Last, and he adored Shirley Bassey.

I was horrified to learn, thanks to Tarantino, that this guy I’d hated for being so boring when I was a pre-teen did The Lonely Shepherd and turns out it absolutely slaps.
