abstaining from voting for anything from 1974. what a sht year for music. yeah time to party everyone let’s put on some fkng kraftwerk. christ
Hey mate,
You can nominate 3 albums per year is order of 3 votes, 2 votes and 1 vote.
If you’re not wanting to add anymore (in that format), I’ll just give 3 votes to the ones that are the only entry for a year…where you have 2 entries (71, 73 and 76) could you just indicate which is the 3 voter and which one gets the 2.
Fragile was released in 1971…please amend
(also, just out of curiosity…so many Rush entries but not 2112??? That surprised me )
1971 Sabbath 3
1973 Montrose 3
1976 ABBA Arrival 3
Cheers
Looking at all the entries so far, it does come across as the weakest year of the decade.
I could only pick albums from 1974 based on playing guitar to a few of the songs lol.
(On the beach is a good song to work on your soloing)
It’s been my hardest.

'76 definitely the hardest year for me, really struggled to find albums that I know well and really like from that year (aside from the Bowie entry).
Thanks mate
Can we interest you in 90s list as well?
If there is one thing that Blitz never has enough of, it’s music threads…so here’s another one. Over the coming weeks I am looking to develop a comprehensive list of Blitzer’s favourite albums for each year from 1960 through to 2024. I’ll break it down into threads by decades so you don’t have to spend ages on putting your favourites together. This first thread is for the 1990s as I figure that most of us have reasonable (or better) knowledge of that decade. I’m asking that you name your top…
No worries. And sure, I’ll start doing some research. Would certainly be interested in an 80s list, too.

Grateful Dead
Roxy Music
A man after my own heart
Coming lists will include 60s, 80s, 00s, 10, and 20s

Would certainly be interested in an 80s list, too.
Sending this on behalf of Peos…
Any post which lists Warren Zevon’s classic eponymous album deserves a like. Every other Zevon album is a let down, had to be because this one was THE ■■■■■■■ classic, and I don’t care which one sold more. He never matched it, but then, who did?
“And when California slides into the ocean,
like the mystics and statistics say it will,
I predict this hotel will be standing,
until I pay my bill.” Basically sums up life in one verse of aching majesty that has to be heard to be truly appreciated.

Educate yourself peoples
Sooooo, Mrs K. and myself have had a go at:
The Clash
Marvin Gaye
Skoz Baggs
Roberta Flack
Van Morrison
Joni Mitchell
So I’ve been having a crack. But not enough to commit to a best of for each year.
The funny thing out of all of that was, a couple of my work mates walk around singing Lido, but replace it with my name. I finally know who sings it now.
