Wouldn’t put it past them…hard pass

Nup. Wife loves them but I can’t stand them.

My old F&C joint owner use to tell me that they are overrated.

He also tried to get me to do a potato cake on a burger with the lot or do a hamburger in batter as the meat on one…

A slice of cake

and of course all words are pronounced exactly how they’re spelled

grow up

cake is slang for ass

which way, western man?

Parmi nights are the only ones you’ll find in Geelong.

And rightly so.

nah

Excuse me?

ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  what night?

Geelong neatly summed up in two words… :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep they call them battered sausages.

Can confirm not a standard name and you wouldn’t get looked weird ordering a battered sav.

3 dollars.

Bogan food, maybe even uber-bogan.

Ubi-bogan according to @Klawdy . :grinning:

Might need to take it to the hot take thread

But for a humble greasy snack. I reckon a marathon spring roll is better than a marathon chiko roll.

Underrated.

Whats underrated is mini parmi’s/parma’s

At a farewell before christmas local pub had like chicken tender sized portions but like a parmi. Was great as could have a couple but didn’t need to order a whole parmi and then be overfull.

What is this ā€œparmiā€ that you refer to?

Having resided in my current location since 1998 we have found and lost our favourite fish and chipperies over the years.

We used to frequent one of the two napier St fish n chip shops in Napier St strathmore when owned by Con & Jenny. They subsequently moved to Flippin Fish n Chips in Napier St Essendon. By chance we discovered a new one over the Christmas period when the previously mentioned was shut for the festive period. Was at 1041 Mt Alex Road North Essendon. The owner had just taken over. Was awesome until he sold the business about 2-3 years later. We returned to Flippin FNC. Con & Jenny sold so onto Blu seafood on gaffney St or FNC on Keilor Road were the go to options. We had a crook batch of fish from the former and the latter changed owners so our go to became West Brunswick FNC on Moreland Road. About 18 months ago got a really disguting meal and havent been back.

Our go to now is Coonans Road Fish n Chips. Traditional old school fish and chips, no fancy sh1te.

If we are down the Bass coast/Phillip Island it is San Remo Fish Co-op
