Unlike yourself. Youâd let someone completely dismantle your car and hope they can put it back together again, even though theyâve shown no ability in picking the right parts over the last 20 years.
As opposed to keeping the car that same someone spent the last 10 years building, despite the car constantly breaking down and its frame being warped and unbalanced? And trusting that that person can upgrade the car with a bit of tinkering despite often choosing the wrong parts to import?

Brad Scott is the worst possible coach for a rebuild. Playing for wins but pretending heâs not, talking about backing the club in the draft whilst playng Weidemen over the kids, pretending heâs got selection intergrity whilst letting the kids rot in the VFL or as sub.

You do have to get something in return.
There is no limit to the number of rounds in the draft, and every team has theoretical picks out to the biggest number they can imagine. The latest future picks that have been actually traded have been 5th rounders (nobodyâs taken a live 5th round pick since 2019). The latest pick traded in recent times was in 2016 when Rhys Palmer got traded to the giants for pick 135. The blues did not, youâll be surprised to learn, use that pick in the draft.
We do have to wait, officially. Even delisted free agency happens after the trade period.
Thatâs rubbish. How many of us are still here when the club has been pants for 20 years? Blitz is honestly the only thing that has kept me âfollowingâ, and I use that term loosely because I really donât watch much at all.

Hawthorne are in year 3 of theirs now and are playing finals, and look pretty decent.
This whole it will take 10 years is not necessarily the case, as proven with the dawks.
