Does it have to be accurate?

JD should play but wouldn’t surprise me they won’t play him until Carlton

If an Essington train in the hanger, and nackers isn’t there to see it, does it even train?

It’d have to be 2000 since we went undefeated into June?

If they are going to make sure that all states are equal and go with groups of 10 initially, then Essendon will have a good advantage with our two ovals. Should be able to knock over 2 groups in two hours. 40 players done. You other 4 ain’t getting a game anyway.

So, where’s the team?

With clubs only training in groups of 10 and non-contact, it’s hard to see June 11th getting off the ground at this stage, given Murphy’s comments about needing ~4 weeks full training to be ready for matches. Late June looking more likely.

I thought a 3 week preseason was the talk?

At any rate, reduced preseason and shorter breaks between games makes this season more about fitness than anything else

It depends on WA & SA deciding what they’ll do.
They’re the ones with the restrictions of 10, no contact, & quarantine to resolve.
A decision by Thursday would give four weeks preseason.
Or they play local Derbies in WA & SA for Round 2, with less, but equally compromised, preparation.

Or of course by Thursday the AFL flies the Weagles Dockers Crows & Port to a player hub on Tropical Death Island in Queensland.

AFL is going to recast the fixture, right?

Oh dear. Bad news. Buddy is ready for round 2, Hooker is ready to play, Whats a bet they will go for Essendon v Sydney Round 2, Saturday Night. Diggers will be unbearable.

Actually I would prefer Essendon V Collingwood. ANZAC Day replacement game. That would be a ratings bonanza.

Um, the whole thing is a ratings bonanza, it’s only on TV and nobody has watched sport for 6 weeks.

Yes, but who would bother watching Norf V The Suns on a Saturday night ?

As a minimum, we’re doing 10caps non contact training for the remainder of the month. Full training starting from June 1 means minimum recommencement from the 18th is the best we can hope for.

Murphy said 3 to 4 depending on the length of break.

10 people is enough for drills
