Might be an idea to bring this back up since the move to the new skin etc.
Hearing plenty of rumours about footy in 2014 already...and 2013 hasn't even finished yet!

Confirmation of one move already.
Werribee Districts, who have been with the VAFA since 1998 and who reached as high as B Grade, are making the move back into the WRFL for season 2014 and beyond.
The WRFL needs more teams so they can split into 3 Divisions. The haves and have nots is just too pronounced. Alot of clubs don't want to be in Div 1 and there are quite a few that struggle in Div 2.
I propose that the WRFL start with 2 divisions and half way through they split into 3 divisions.
Start with 12 teams in Div 1 and 10 teams in Div 3. The bottom 4 teams in Div 1 and the top 4 teams in Div 3 move into Div 2.
Works well for baseball and a few other sports.
Just heard tonight that the Australian Catholic University will have a team from next season, based at Warrawee Park (Oakleigh's old VFA ground)
Aberfeldie comfortably over Greenvale and Airport West over Avondale Heights win the first week of the EDFL semis.
Mal Michael played for Abers...I don't think he'd been playing all year...no Johns or Fanning either...ZOB, Tippa and Toy all playing for Essendon tomorrow. McPhee no goals and not in the best for Greenvale.

Really looking forward to getting to Windy Hill in two weeks time for hopefully three Aberfeldie Premierships in the u18's, ressies and seniors! Did pre season with the 18's before realising I'd be no hope of playing finals anyway so packed it in, but would expect them to put up a good show, hopefully against Strathmore. Ressies have to beat the Mores this week to make it against Greenvale, and the seniors will play the winner of Greenvale and Airport West.

And they should have Toy, Fahey, ZOB and Tippa back from the VFL to play in the granny. Shinners will be back for Greenvale too IIRC.

Paz, what do we think of the VAFA BnF's?
Paz, what do we think of the VAFA BnF's?
Was mainly in B Grade all year and I reckon Iezzi was the right call. He was dominant in both winning and losing sides for Trinity.
Have a guess who is in yet another Premier Grand Final? Yep - Xavs.
St. Bedes and Uni Blacks play out the Prelim this Saturday.

Big week (last week) for my club, Lorne Dolphins in the Colac and District League, convincing win in the GF by 5 goals over Colac Imperials and local boy/former player Jack Steven wins the St Killda B&F.
I have the D3 Grand Final Sunday.
If you needed any other convincing to get down to Windy Hill tomorrow for the Premier Grand Final.. Adam McPhee is playing for Greenvale.
Abers 6.5 Greenvale 5.6 at the half. ZOB got whacked in the guts giving Abers 50 and an easy goal right on half time. C Johns, Dan Connors, Mal Michael and 3 Hislops playing for Abers plus Toy, TIPPA, ZOB and Fahey.
McPhee and Tom H had some biffo. TIPPA playing well but tried to do too much after a big run and got HTB.
Did Cam Wight play for anyone? Kicked a big goal for Greenvale.
Goal to McPhee after the bell has Greenvale up by 9 points. Shinners and the f***ing goal machine both kicked one that quarter.
I left with about 5 minutes to go when the rain started and Abers didn't look like getting back. Greenvale were 2+ goals up. McPhee playing a good last quarter.
TIPPA did little after half-time...Connors stuffed up quite a few things, trying to be Stevie J and coming unstuck.
Abers started the day with a 1 point win over strathmore in the under 18s.
The seconds after leading by 40 odd points were run over by a never say die greenvale paddy ryders brother kyle played for aberfeldie.
Same in the seniors where a tall greenvale side were simply too good for aberfeldie where mal michael who rucked was fantastic and adam houlis cousin played a terrific game for aberfeldie.
Losing david fanning with a punctured lung and broken ribs as well as jacob craven who broke down at training with hamstring injury gave greenvale a definate height advantage but greenvale are worthy winners.
For such a young club to win 4 A grade premierships is a great effort.
Nearly ten thousand spectators in attendance.
