Is Lynch aboriginal? Wonder if it's the Malcolm Lynch who played with the Dogs.
I see there's a J Clothier with Northern Saints. Wonder if it's "our" Clothier.

Lynch played for douttas then won northern league best and fairest last year only to have it stripped off him.
He is not the lynch you are thinking of who played for port melbourne as well ,its mark lynch .
Yes you are correct about clothier.
Also paul dimmatina played for airport west.
Wouldnt mind catching a Abers game..so many bombers

Its great to watch local football ,not everybody is on the ball which leads to a lot more real contests .
On saturday the center was a gluepot ,players showed real skill and the game was played in terrific spirit.

Pretty hard to get fit enough to have everyone running around after the ball. It makes it a much purer game.
Kyle Reimers 12 goals for Aberfeldie
......seconds
Mate went down and watched Avondale vs Abers on Anzac day. Said everyone was giving it to Remiers and he started a melee. Still a wanker by all sounds.
Aberfeldie gave it to Keilor for their first loss…Darcy Daniher 4, Johns 3, Reimers 2. Josh Toy best.
Avondale Heights still undefeated, Rose and Galea kicking their 7+ between them each week.
Kyle Reimers 12 goals for Aberfeldie
......seconds
Dean Galea and Patrick Rose playing for Avondale Heights who are undefeated on top...they kicked 9 between them last week vs Abers. But they kicked 7.2 to nil in the last quarter against Airport West to win by 5 points. Sounds like a wind game.
Vezpremi playing for Pascoe Vale
Northern Saints have 3 players from each team with Anglo names, showing how multicultural local footy is...and 2 of them are George which is ambiguous. Lots of Arabic names.
George can be a latino name as well - goldengoose's ex captain at Chaddie is one
Northern Saints won their first game of the season, smashing Aberfeldie at Clifton Reserve. Darcy Daniher 5 and Reimers 3.
Another 13 goals to Rose and Galea in a smashing of Pascoe Vale.
Abers smacked Marby with D Daniher 6 and Reimers 3
Aaron Heppell (I presume) in the best for Strathmore.
Great thread.
Been going to a few EDFL matches this year. Have no allegiance to anyone really and generally choose a game that interests me. The standard is excellent. The grounds are in pretty good nick (save for Marby Park which is a cow paddock) and the atmosphere is fantastic. Love being able to sit back with no blaring music and have a snag, pie and a can for less than $10.
Went and watched Douttas v Airport West on the weekend. Even though Douttas were winless, their form is a lot better than that and I thought they were a genuine chance to cause an upset.
At 3/4 time scores were level. Airport West quickly kicked 3 goals in ten minutes and it looked like the game was over. However Douttas fought back strong and they had all the ball for the last 15 minutes to be down by less than a goal in time on. With what was the last play of the day the ball was kicked to Douttas goal square and the full forward made a valiant attempt to mark a difficult one which he only just fumbled. The siren then rang and they lost by 3 points. Had to feel for Douttas as the players looked shattered and they left everything out there against pretty good opposition.
One player who impressed me was No 4 for Airport West, Aaron Sweet. Since discovered he is a recruit from the WAFL. Really good mover who used the ball well and I reckon he would have had 40 plus posessions yesterday. Marcus Kenny at full forward is an old fashioned Plugger Lockett type who is immovable one on one.
Big game in two weeks time for Douttas when they play Northern Saints who have had one win. This game could be a decider as far as relegation is concerned. With Northern Saints having beaten Abers a few weeks ago they will go in as favourites but I'm tipping it to be really close.
Can anyone tell me whats up with Greenvale?
Gone from premiership favourites to lower mid table in 9 rounds.
Aaron Sweet...wasn't he one who YT or Peeto was really pushing up?
I don't think McPhee is playing for Greenvale any more...Shinners seems to have gone.
Craigieburn were a good side a few years back...Barney was coaching them anbd they had Steven Baker, Lekkas, Christou, Whitnall playing...they're now bottom of second division.
Yep - I dont think McPhee is playing. Wonder why?
He seems pretty ft and is still an okay age for this level. Brodie Holland after all is still going strong for Marby. He either must have some sort of chronic injury or he doesn't want his playing to upset his coaching. I note that Greenvale did have a big win on the weekend though so maybe they are starting to come good.
I know its only one game but seriously thought Sweet would not have looked out of place at the top level. Speed might be an issue but old fashioned footballer who finds space and uses it great. Just looked really classy out there.
Doutta played real well last week as well.
Reach the long weekend off happy with how I'm going.
5 games in Premier and 3 in Premier B including the upset last week by Mazenod (9th) over St. Kevins (2nd)
I will add there was a disturbing incident in the VAFA 3 weeks ago.
In the Under 19's, a player from the Amateur part of Northern Blues, manhandled the field umpire and dumped the umpire on his head.
The player has been suspended until the beginning of the 2017 season and will need to receive a playing permit from AFL Victoria to play anywhere.
