Yep, typical mediocrity answer. We've been fkn average for 13 years. When is enough enough?
some teams have been ■■■■ for 30 years, take a cup of cement and HTFU
If you’re ok with being ■■■■ how about you go support a club that accepts it as ok? The day we go “well other teams are ■■■■” like it justifies our performance is the day footy finally won’t be worth watching.
Some of us have been saying similar things for months but have only been howled down as some kind of ‘traitors’.
We have a BOTTOM 4 LIST. Nobody wants to believe it but it is FACT.
What has been truly hopeless this season has been our weekly Team Selections.
It is beyond bewildering how many players keep getting a game at Senior AFL level when they are plainly nowhere near it.

If you want to be a ■■■■■■ why don’t you go barrack for another team, wanker.
I want a coach who can teach players to stand in front of their opponents. Our forwards were behind their back men all day. Our back men were behind their forwards all day. It’s not that ■■■■■■■ hard
The club had to make very post a winner cause the draft sactions will set us back, but we probably wont really feel it for a couple more years… Just look at carlton!
As soon as any point is raised that suggests a match up was bad or a selection was wrong, the defence is simply “iunno, WADA?”.
If WADA is playing such a HUGE role in why we are bad, then why is our coach bringing players affected by WADA straight back into the team ahead of young, developing players who need experience? Why not play the young guys and make it so WADA ISNT an excuse??
So sick of that being used to justify EVERYTHING that goes wrong. It’s either WADA or some ■■■■■■■ conspiracy that Caroline Wilson and the AFL are out to get us.
enough having a drunken sook after every second loss. It's the same ■■■■■■ season it was two weeks ago.
Maybe because we are losing the majority of games, getting smashed badly in some and the same average plodders are constantly being played while the players with a bit of flair and excitement have to go above and beyond to earn their games while others just get picked without having the form to back it up.

I semi agree with you.
The WADA ■■■■ cannot be an excuse. If it is, then all players and coaches just have to find a way to deal with it. WADA is going to be an issue until the end of the year as a minimum and could still be around through next and the year after. It’s just not going away any time soon so we just need to find a way to be competitive against half the teams in the league.
If players, coaches, etc are not capable of getting through it, then they will see their careers end very quickly. If it means we need to delist half of the playing list, coaches, fitness staff, etc. over the next few years in order to play better, then so be it.
Do you ever add anything positive to a thread Reboot? Just seems you love yelling at people if they ever have an opinion?
Not sure you’re still a mod on these boards but I think that needs to be reviewed.
Spot On!
Just another ‘How dare you criticise / Blind Faith Brigaders’ who seemingly know it all but dont actually attend games or show any real support other than calling out posters as ‘traitors’.
Pathetic.
Those who stayed till the end copped the rainy trudge back to car too. If Id buggered off at three quarter time I would have got home dry.
I remember some miserable weather playing the Dogs at the Western Oval but normally the scoreline cheered me up.
Let’s break this team down today, and assess without emotion or vodka, lol.
Battlers that have not been part of the main senior side battling to stay on the list:
-O’Brien (jury still out)
-Steinberg (not going to make it)
-Browne (jury still out)
1st year players
-Laverde (makings of v.good mid) #showing plenty and improving every game
-Langford(makings of v.good forward/mid) # simply not strong enough to compete atm, but getting some games for experience
Mature age (draft sanction recruits)
-Gwilt # Fantastic today, surprisingly consistent across most games.
-Cooney. #Hmm, decision making seems average bit of zip still.
Back for 1st week after injury/not long back:
-Carslisle # Back to where he can read the play, and use his marking strength (yet he hasn’t signed)
-Melksham # Mother of God he has had enough chances, surely?
-Zaka # Worried about his ability to influence games when we need him most -when we’re down.
1st game for the year.
-Giles # Serviceable.
Played most of the year
Hepp # Shouldering a mightly load, game deiminished somewhat of late
Goddard # Always influencial, sometimes not in a good way. Decision making beginning to fade at times.
Stants #How ironic, runs the hardest, demands the ball-delivers it poorly.
Bags # Great year under extreme pressure each week from countless opposition forward entries
Hibberd # Battles hard, disposal hit n miss.
Zerrett # Battled very hard, had a great year
Hooker # Star, no problem here
Ambrose # Mother of God he has had enough chances, surely?
JD
Gleeson-Really, still too light absolute liability in a contest
J.Merrett. - up n down in n out.
THANK FARK THIS TEAM WILL NEVER PLAY TOGETHER AGAIN!!!

Lol. Yes I can recall those trudges back to the car from Whitten Oval too.
But after experiencing those toilets in the Outer … stinking, flooded & without any lights … it was always a pleasure to leave win, lose or draw.
We all know this seasons over. So I don’t see why people are still getting worked up. Let’s watch the kids and see what happens next year. Impressed with Laverde, but disappointed with Browne. Hope they still continue to play him till the end of the year .
It is very hard to judge anyones performance at the club right now until what is the blackest day in sport is officially over.
This includes Hird as he is very much part of it. Sure it is questionable his team selection and match day coaching, it has been all year. I believe Hird as stated a few weeks ago has improved, especially in his pressers after the game being more honest and direct, perhaps as up until 4 weeks ago the pressure was off about making finals in his mind. He has decided to play the kids and gee we have some good ones ( WOB I disagree about Gleeson and NOB ) they will make it. Hird’s decision about playing Melksham, Ambrose and Cooney was more to see where they are at ( perhaps a bit of tanking came to my mind with their selection ). The future is bright and we will be challenging in 2017-2018 for top 4 book mark this post.
