Thank you
Just post in here on the day if you need any support or reassurance
Youâve got this. As @em2009 said one of is generally here and may be able to offer support.
Great effort to seek medical assistance straight away.
If you are having trouble getting out the door to an appointment, you could try the Vic Health Nurse on call facility to guide you - telephone 1300 60 60 24.
No promises that it will work, but worth a try. All the best to you.
Best of luck GG. Quite the contrast to me - I canât wait and relish every opportunity to get out of my house.
Good luck GG.
Remember you might be able to find a psych whoâll consult over zoom etc if youâre having real problems getting to the clinic.
Thanks guys
Got down there. Spent time talking about releasing my fear re leaving house. Then he gave me a script for meds I got off in 2019. Sometimes itâs like they donât completely listen
Hang in there, and share your thoughts on here whenever you need to.
Well done for making and keeping the appointment, for articulating your fears. If the meds donât work, go back.
I donât know why I took the first dose. I donât want to be on Effexor ever again but I want my life back.
One of the worst nights ever. No sleep. Feel sick. Dry. Dizzy. It just makes me feel like I have the flu.
Back to Dr tomorrow
Sounds like the cure is worse than the cause. Better off without that sort of medication.
I wouldnât say that.
But the first day or few days on and off them is absolutely awful.
Effexor bad bad.
I know a couple of people that were on that and they would agree. When trying to come off it, one of them got to the point of opening each capsule and making mini doses with the contents as each step was ridiculously hard. They talked about having electricity like zaps in their body as they were withdrawing.
I think @Zimmer vwas on it and shared his experience.
I did the sameâŚtook 6 months to get off
Iâll be interested to hear about what strategies your doctors suggest to help you out mate!
Good luck with everything.
That stuff sounds like poison.
Effexor is pretty full on. If itâs prescribed right, itâs very helpful. If not, it can be quite an ordeal.
Itâs not for anybody here to say if should take it or not, but if you yourself arenât sure, getting a second doctorâs opinion wonât hurt.
