I had a good one last night at Da Guido 365 at 365 Little Collins St. Very reminiscent of the ones we had in Italy. A Diavola with extra spicy stuff, NDuja (?).

S.O.P /thread

I always like the hot ones, think there is one called diavola or something like that. My wife being vegetarian like the ones with feta and pesto which is awesome as well.

The calabrese and capricosa are always great too

Diavola is the Italian version of what we normally call Mexicana, but without the capsicum. Some here call them Americana…just tomato, mozzarella and hot salami.

Not sure what salami they use, presumably not pepperoni.

Sopressa maybe? Not sure, it does have some chilli on top too that gives it a bit of an extra sting.

I like their bases, not too thick but not cardboard thin either.

Service has always been good as well

Had Pinos in Cowes today!
It was great.

Been excellent for decades. Never seem to drop off.

Has there been any change that you’ve noticed BSD since you first started visiting there in 1937?

I don’t think BSD could handle being the old man of blitz.

Well to be fair to him I think Noonan has been going to the pizza place since 1837

It’d be a worry if your Pinos did drop off, I think.

I’m sorry Someone had to say it.

The only time it’s not great is when the V8s are on and they are trying to turn over tables every 15mins… they must smash it those days but the quality drops. But today being a nice quiet lunch was magnificent. Wish they were a little closer to Sunbury.
