From my position on the couch it appears Tex has something to work it’s over the next few years.
Not yet sure about Fejo. It may well come down to the drive to want to do what it takes to be an AFL player.
We must remember that if a player slipped through the drafts and is being considered as a SSP, there are reasons. It will be hard for these fellows to make an impact straight away. Baldwin being a great example of this last year.
Tex seems a possible small forward, we need a couple of these.
There’s no doubt that Clarke offers a bit at AFL level if needed. But we’ve shown a reluctance to play him , and certainly a reluctance to maximize his strengths - tagging - so it becomes difficult to see the point in us listing him again , even though I think on raw output he could be deserving of another chance. If there was another club willing to play a defensive mid in their permanent setups, he’d absolutely be worth a punt for no cost.
But for us, where we sit, it would seem to make more sense taking a chance on raw potential, or at least keeping a slot open.
