I’ve always thought that blooper video the club releases each year could use a host. WSPHU.
he wanted to go home to qld to be with his brother i believe.
… ok looks like he’s staying in WA and playing WAFL
Debuted against us. similar pick to mozzie.
WEST Coast forward Jarrod Cameron will leave the club as a delisted player, despite having one year to run on his contract.
Cameron and the Eagles will part ways this off-season after a horror campaign for the third-year forward, who battled persistent injuries and did not feature at AFL level.
The 21-year-old will remain in Western Australia and play in the WAFL before an expected push to return to the AFL ahead of the 2023 season.
WHO’S CALLED IT QUITS 2021’s retirements and delistings
Given his contracted status, the terms of Cameron’s exit would need to be negotiated between the Eagles and his management.

Cameron signed a two-year extension in the middle of 2019 during a run of seven consecutive senior games and back-to-back four-goal bags.
The younger brother of Brisbane star Charlie Cameron, he was recruited with pick No.39 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft and kicked 13 goals in 12 games for West Coast.
A syndesmosis injury this season saw the skilful forward ruled him out from June, with the Eagles placing him on the inactive list. His 2020 campaign was also hampered by osteitis pubis.
How do you rate Fejo Jnr out of curiosity?
For those who want Lonie, I just want to point out that in 2021 Dylan Clarke averaged more goals, more disposals, and fractionally less tackles than Lonie……
I rate him on natural ability to play the game, I like that we are giving him a good long look to see if he can get up to speed.
I think there is an AFL level player there.
I personally think we will only select one player and save a pick and i think Tex probably suits our immediate needs more due to the Walla situation
I think given the walla situation we will select 2 players.
eventually yeah; but i think we will save a pick until the mid season draft; we like the flexibility it gives us.
If I was a betting man think we will go Wanganeen and Clarke.
Would have loved Nwayi Moore to be training there too, as he was the one most were excited about last year when the JHA kids were training.
Mahoney said at this stage definitely taking one player in SSP, and need to make decision on the second. Hurley being ahead of schedule been a factor around this. Likely to hold one over for MSD

The current scenario reads like this:
Walla out for a couple of months at least (might get his mojo back and get back on the park by mid-season, which is a realistic chance)
We have immediate coverage (may not be the exact type) in terms of:
- Pressure forward (Snello + maybe Ben)
- x factor (Package whens he’s down there + Smith who brings pressure first, and has a bit of xfactor), and we might even try out Lord depending on form/injury…etc
Ideally, we should not hesitate picking up Tex or Fejo (or both) as there is hardly any cost in terms of investment via the SSP, and we always have any potential injury or Hurls scenario which is still playing out - if we need any pick in MSD.
I think we all need to acknowledge that we’re still realistically a couple of years from challenging and have the luxury to not panic and try out a couple of things creatively, and allow them to grow together organically, whilst embedding the game plan.
We look to have strategically covered this position in the next draft with the davey twins + potentially hill on the cards - so this is the time for steady hands and stick to the original plan and enjoy the ride. We’ll have a few wins/ few losses this year - as long as we’ve seen overall improvement and consistency (+ get our young brigade around the (30-50game)mark, I’ll be happy by the end of the year…and yeah by the way - as long as we dont lose to Carl-tank.
Go Bombers!
JUST GIVE US THE BIG TEXAN!!!
Hurls is Alot more advanced in his fitness than you think. I saw him at training this morning and he was doing sprints and Alot of sideways running
With the looming threat of players being out due to covid it doesn’t make sense to hold over a pick for the msd best off filling all the spots now and if walla doesn’t come back or if a another player sustains an injury the spot is opened up
Josh Mahoney also said Hurles progressed a lot more than they thought…
So potentially only 1 SSP, to hold the 1 pick over for mid season draft, as we expect Hurley and Tippa to get back on the park.
I would take the 2 picks now, if they deserve it. As there is a chance of a injury or someone quiting by mid year IMO.
Mahoney says they’re undecided on the second spot. Could mean they might hold it over 'till MSD. Could meant that with development (like Hurls progressing faster that, as he indicated) that they’re reconsidering who to take with that spot. Like, Perhaps Martin isnt a consideration if they anticipate having Hurls back by mid-season. Will just have to wait and see I guess.
