The Price is Right - For some

Should’ve dragged out the Supreme Court challenge. Just shows you how highly significant EFC games are to the competition. They would’ve folded.

With this bullshite the afl's brought out, essendon may need to have a list of games you can attend with each membership, and what you'd need to do to see the ones that aren't included in that membership.

They're called "home" games.... (yes, yes, I know...)

But agreed on the 2nd bit, good call.

If the club could send out a big e-mail/brochure before the year started, then a text when the ticket sales opened for each week for the applicable levels of memberships, it would make it that much easier & get that many more R&B along to away games

so, just bought my AFL members tickets in the presale...seems its a 45% premium to see Nth V Ess at the Dome when compared to Anzac Day at the G, thanks to the scumbags at ticketmaster charging a handling fee thats 3 x their competitor.

You get games like anzac day and dreamtime, that are ambiguous on whether you can attend or not (as bronze basic).

You can call Melbourne vs North Melbourne Cat G and pay me to go. I still wouldn't.

Not really new - has been the case since TM lost the MCG contract.  If you got MCG tickets today you'd have noticed Ticketek now has a $2.50 "delivery fee".  Was no such charge last year.

Yes, noticed that. $2.50 isn't much, but it adds up, with the booking fee on top of the membership fee. Basically it's at the point where I just buy a seat for the year, don't go, or just pay the premium to attend the big games. Unusually stand anyway.
Surprised my wife hasn't done the sums and cancelled it on my behalf.

Yeah I was already undecided but now Im more confused about what I should do.

Flexi means crap seats. Unless you buy your seats during the pre-sale, which isn't very flexi is it...

Bronze premium is still pretty crap seats (top deck) and expensive if I only get to about 5 games, plus I need to lock in who Im going with and get seats together...

Just buying gen admin tix is now only going to be possible for crap games...

Oh well. Remember when they used to refuse to televise the cricket (in the city where the cricket was being played) until the ground had been filled, to encourage people to go to the games? Televising the game meant lower crowds.

Now the AFL don't want you to go to the games (not the good ones) they'd rather you stayed at home and cop more advertising on Fox.

I've basically been priced-out.

I’m not priced out, sadly I can afford it, I’m lack of ease of use and transparencies out. I’m gonna find out how many tickets there are to make my decision.

The presage for the AFL Members reserve at the Dome is listed as a MAXIMUM of 300 seats. Before the insane today it was showing as “not many left” which leads me to believe the fricken AFL hold all the tickets for themselves, sponsors, and other clubs.

I’m not certain, but I was pretty sure the mMedallion Club Axcess One or whatever it is were originally AFL members seats.

Was taking the mick with that bit.... as there are now 902 levels of memberships, hard to keep track of the whole lot

But Bronze Basic = GA at the MCG, doesn't it?

ie you get in, if you get there early enough (I did it last year, never had any issue even on ANZAC day - the biggest H&A game in almost 20 years).

Can anyone get me two tickets when members pre sale comes up for anzac day?

Lol.
I think it would be easier to stream

Not quite. Today was just the online presale - max 300 at ES (level 1).  The remainder on level 1 (up to 3000) become available at the various monthly onsale dates later in the year.

Medallion Club and Axcess One are ES level 2 (and have always been so).  Never been anything to do with seats available to AFL members.

I have been considering a family membership + 1 child for my family. I was looking at 11 home game for all of us, but couldn't understand what this meant at Etihad.

I get the feeling that if I ring the club, the person on the other end will have no idea as well and just give me answers to appease me and get a sale.

Does anyone know who or how I could talk to someone who actually has a clue about this system so I could make a decision and be properly informed with no surprises during the year?

Are the membership team at EFC reputable & knowledgeable?

This might help some people - http://membership.essendonfc.com.au/do-i-have-access.html

Doesn't talk about the new pricing structure but as you can see, if you have a Bronze/Silver/High Mark, you scan in to Etihad for home games because each of those memberships comes with a reserved seat at home games at Etihad. If you have a Flexi membership, you need to get a reserved seat for home games at Etihad.

It's the home games at the MCG and away games where things start to get confusing but that table seems to explain it fairly well. Make sure you note the note at the bottom.

And once we'd covered our own court costs as well as flight plan costs due to lack of league funding (like they threatened us with over Hirds pay) we'd mostly likely have folded once it was done with.

Ok.. so never really bought a ticket because I've always had membership to get me in to save hassle.

Can someone please explain this to me. What is CAT1--> 7 ?

I'm a sliver 11 home game member (reserved seats).. does that give me any entitlement to get a cheaper ticket through the club?

I want to purchase 2-4 adult tickets and 2nd tier at least 15 or closer to the action. What price could I potentially be looking at? I'm not sure which one of these match that criteria.

All I want to know is that:  We are planning to see the Bulldogs game in May (I won the dice throw, YES!!) and we usually book a reserve seat (not members) Can we still do this via ticketec
