5 Michael Hutchience - Dogs in space
4 Goblin - Suspiria
3 Pixie - Wave of mutilation (UK surf)
2 Carmen Jones - Dats Love
1 Underworld - Born slippy

I wasn’t a part of the the little bands scene or the crystal ballroom or anything like that, born just prior but that movie gets me very sentimental for ‘old Melbourne’ and I love the s/t. Ollie Olsen/Whirlywirld and Primitive Calculators. I remember as a kid seeing Dogs in Space stencilled around on walls and footpaths a fair bit. Boys Next Door unlucky.

Argento and Goblin, phenomenal combo.

Actually regretting not giving a vote to Carmen Jones, though the National Lampoon song made me feel good after having a bit of a ■■■■ year so far.

Ok, just waiting on @wimmera1 @Preliminary_Point2 (although he’s typing now) @AnnStBomber @frosty (who is pretty crook) and @hambo

Nearly my favourite set ever. The mix of songs plus favourite movies, childhood memories and Classico all music was epic. Really really hard to vote

5- Kavinsky - this blew me away in the cinema went and got the soundtrack the next day.
4- oasis - an epic scene in a great movie and oasis not sounding like anything they’d done before epic
3 - Eddie Vedder - man I loved this film and this soundtrack was on high rotation in my life for awhile. Uplifting and down to earth and it fitted the film so well.
2 - never ending story - genius whoever picked this. Took me back to being an 8yo
1 - Transformers same as above.

I’m only half way through the songs Mr @Paul_Peos. Should be done in about 5 minutes er I mean 5 hours. Very enjoyable actually but there are some very very very questionable choices for “soundtrack round”. Shame shame shame people.

  1. Kavinsky (song 13)
  2. Goblin (song 9)
  3. Kickapoo (song 25)
  4. Franka Polente (song 8)
  5. Isle of dogs (song 29) I love the way Wes Anderson works a simple song into his movies

P.S. Wave of Mutilation. I love it but a song that I’ve heard a million times and have had the special vinyl collection with this on it for years doesn’t quite cut is as a soundtrack song.

Same goes for most of the top 40 hits that were played in this set. You know who you are. Lazy farkers.

I much prefer this version to the more renown album version. It was actually my introduction to them way back when. Haven’t heard this one in years.

It’s a very good version but the live version (with Kim Deal) was scary good. I cried like a friggin baby.
