Morning all.

Just realised that I haven’t spun any electro/synth-pop as yet. I don’t own much of this electronic genre, although I collected quite a bit of it around the late 90s-2005 (the last period in which I bought electronic music). With this style, you have your beats produced by the Roland TR-808 drum machines, funk samples and distorted vocals using a vocoder. Similar to trance, electro has spawned its own subgenres, such as the Swedish/ Finnish style skweee - mainly instrumental tracks with synth/chiptune leads and funky basslines. The following song is a decent example.
