You'd think we'd be in a good position to have a win but honestly, this is bigger than a win/loss result. It's just great to have our boys on the park competing again, doing what they love with no dark cloud above their heads.
I’ll be there, cheering them on and showing my support to these brave men no matter what the result is!
Carn the Dons!!!
Furthermore while a strong performance/win has no real relevance in footy terms, it will be a massive boost to get members to sign up to the club.
I hate these preseason games. I always keep my fingers, toes, hands, legs, eyes, teeth, tongue and testies crossed and pray for no injuries please, please, please, please.
Geez, whoever misses out when they trim the squad is going to be stiff. Can’t freakin wait to be at the game and see some familiar faces running back out there again!
Oh and you just know that Josh Green is going to kick the first goal.
Last pre season game vs Collingwood at Etihad 26k (though some dogggies fans were also there as it was that weird triple header fixture setup they ran for a while)
One before that was 45k for the pre season grand final.
Guessing for a figure between those two.
Other factors at play are
-Fans wanting to welcome back the returning players
-Being able to welcome in an era of enjoying footy again.
