Logical?

You could justify any changes if you really wanted too.

I’m more upset about TBC not getting dropped than Myers back in.

Don’t tell IT. He gets mad about these sort of things

Francis may end up being a superstar (I wouldn’t bet on it, but it’s not crazy) but he was seriously average in his three games. Looks a worry one on one and hasn’t been sticking the intercept marks like he was last season.

Who does he get a game over in our starting back six?

Now, as for Myers being back in the squad…

I think he’s done but I dont think they could have brought Draper in for his first game vs Stef (who is a monster)

I don’t mind Francis being dropped at all. It’s purely about matchups and Ambrose is stronger, fitter, plays taller and at this stage is just a better defender than Francis. I’ve heard Harvey say that he is the best defender at the club. Brown is an obvious in for Smack. I’m a massive fan of Redman and Geulfi (a better mid than defender) was the obvious player to make way if he is ready. Myers is the one I’d rather see us move on from, the most annoying part is the on ball time he will suck out of Parish and Zaharakis.

Or visa versa.

I’d rather play Mossie at FF and have stints in the ruck than play Clarke. People say he tried and worked hard. I’ll tell you what else works hard? Washing machines, doesn’t mean they can play AFL. Very uninspiring changes

Now I know why big Tom always looks like he’s in holiday mode.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Francis comes straight back in against North, if anyone of the talls is too battered and beaten up, it is not the worst idea to freshen him up, same goes for Guelfi.

I think Worsfold is genuinely trying to manage the big men (as well as a versatile player like Guelfi) through a period of the year we have been struggling for a while.

Omitting Francis is not smart. When a player is talented enough, you just carry them through. Get the games into them.

Myers in is typical rubbish. The guy is cooked.

Clarke is not AFL standard and they should be embarrassed that he was picked last week, let alone picked again this week.

Yep. We proved that with Joe. Just keep playing them and they’ll be fine.

Exactly.

Disregard.

why are young players always ā€œomittedā€, yet senior players are only ever ā€œrestedā€ or ā€œmanagedā€

Ins and outs, sure. But isn’t the question: Is this selected team good enough to defeat Brisbane?

edit: overall - it’s a strong side. Not best 22 obviously but backline and onballers are excellent. And forward line is good enough if Brown does well.

If Hooker v Francis is the question you are asking then that is the problem. We could easily play Hooker forward in Smacks place and carry Francis through as long as possible.
