So put the All Australian defender Hooker forward and “carry” Francis in his place? I’m disappointed about Francis being out but he looked rough last week. If Francis was 100% fit i’d definitely agree with you.

Even if Francis ends up playing VFL in a couple of weeks, I wouldn’t mind him up and flying in the VFL before coming into the senior team against the pies.
I think there is something to be said for looking after his body and confidence at this stage of his career.
Would be quite happy to have him as an ~ 18 game player this season, especially if he had quality games in both the AFL and VFL and some rests.

I think you should pay attention
Myers is purely an ‘auto in’ because he was taken as a Pick 6. If he was a Pick 36 he would not be an an ‘auto in’ and if he was Pick 66 he would’ve been delisted in 2015. Honestly I look at the Brisbane side, and ask myself “what does he offer against this side”. He might snare one goal, a couple of centre clearances and six turnovers, but he is slow in mind and body. Simply don’t get it.
Meanwhile the Lang sits in the stands as the VFL have a bye.
This side suddenly looks slow and predictable, despite what we saw last week. Not confident at all - no wonder the Lions have gone from $3.30 to $2.05 in the space of the last two days.

Yeah that’s weird. He didn’t look like he made it though last match very well. Brisbane are a faster side too. Maybe they don’t think he’s up to it? I think we’ll see Hooker forward at some stage anyway.
Why not simplify it and just say ommitted or injured?

Myers is at his best when he goes in hard, wins ball and kicks long. Tippa and Zaka turned around their form; time for Myers to do the same
