Ambrose has been outstanding in shutting down his opponents. He may not be as showy as others but he normally stops one forward from kicking goals which is more than you can say for the other backmen. Some of his disposals could be questioned at times but lets not forget he hasnât played that much due to injuries so if he gets some good game time you might just be surprised how useful he can be. As mentioned before Francis has not defended as well yet but I still would have liked him to stay as he can take some important marks in the backline when we need it most. Letâs see what this team can bring on Saturday. Not totally convinced with all the changes. Guelfi needs to taken away from the backline and into the half forward or wing. He was put into the backline and subsquently dropped due to lack of performanceâŚno brainer. Sometimes I wonder how these sides are picked and if anyone there has the nouse that most Blitzers have when it comes to picking sides.
Great to see Redman back in. He is a gun. Far better defender than Guelfi, who was starting to find his feet in defence.
Hopefully Francis is not 100% and that why he is omitted. He has not been as good as end of last year, but he has not been terrible by any stretch or out of form like other players. Reckon he should have stayed in, it is puzzling if it solely an omission. He is a match winner.
My worry is our forwardline, it needs a focal point and pack marking option. Brown is not this, so unless they play Hooker forward reckon they will struggle.
Myers, look it was always going to happen. No point throwing a tanty over it.
People - please remember that yes we have 4 changes, but two of those because of shredded hamstrings. Changes had to be made, I think its the ins/outs (and not number) that is riling people so much.
