That last point is correct. He is enjoying his time in the 2s and i think when he starts pressing for selection direct to the coaching staff they would bring him in. I cant see him actively saying he wants to play 1s yet.
Note i can confirm that it is actually 100% the case. They are managing him due to early pre season issues and not rushing him as hes not right yet

Hope you’re right about Long and that he’s on the list next year and given games to prove his worth. You can never have enough talented footballers and given the club’s commitment to the indigenous community, more (not less) indigenous players running around in Essendon colours is important. Lip service / rhetoric only goes so far. Practice what you preach EFC. Long deserves a chance and shouldn’t be treated simply as depth.
Barrett’s the type of person who likes to be confrontational, to get a reaction. That’s his (ugly) POD. But he seriously embarrasses himself with statements that lack research or basis.
Bit surprised Long got dropped, especally since Myers was singled out as someone who played injured for some of last weeks game, short break, his reported comments during training on the 11th and a 2 hour flight to the GC.
Don’t know why we would be playing tricks on the 17th placed side, and I can’t see why you would take a risk with him.
I would be taking a long hard look at the list, sending players who need operations off early and giving the young a go. We have 2 top 4 teams to go in our run home, realistically beating Richmond is beyond us, and Port away will be an achievement…So why continue like we have a chance.

We also have a chance to pick up one of the top 6 players in the draft next year, the ones that are reported to be ahead of the rest of the draft and get all the players ready for 2019.

I doubt Myers will get up for game. With Parish already picked we have him covered & Langford ready for more responsibility. Long back in for mine who apparently travelling up with team.
I also think Brown and Hurley might switch at some point though as GC kpf’s are very tall. But mind you if we play to defensive level we did against Pies they won’t see much ball in their fwd line.
