I think the inclusion of Zaka is more about the fact that it was an open ‘secret’ that he wasn’t affected. Winderlich and Fletcher in the same boat but due to age won’t play NAB.
This week is probably our 90% Round 1 team IF players suspended. Good chance for them to see how we gel. I wouldn’t be surprised (if tribunal doesn’t announce result beforehand) if Fletcher and Winders line up next week, along with Chappy to give us a look at the possible ‘bans’ best 22.
ironic that sheedy comes back to EFC week of game Essendon play GWS.
a win will depend if our team can gel better than theirs.
GWS looked good last week. and should have more firepower in the midfield.
we have added a few weapons this week. + Cooney Zaka Zerrett & Goddard in midfield lose Chappy
Dainher to add a focal point up forward
Gwilt to add experience to the defence. Think Freezer and Brown will take the KPP spots with assistance from gwilt.
Topp up players have had longer with group and played game together would help.
more seasoned players will help run out the last quarter.
Giles has a axe to grind versus giants.
Interesting if EFC kids get vest or topp ups
Is Zakka’s inclusion an indication of our vibes re: tribunal?
I was wondering that too. He’s in the leadership group so even symbolic solidarity should be important unless they are very confident of being cleared.

Not to mention there’s an article on the club website which states they hope for Winderlich to play against Melbourne next week.

And one on the AFL website saying Heppell believes he’s ‘on track’ for the Swans game in Round 1.
Should be a better game. Now, if only it was being televised free to air.
Seems strange that in Victoria when there is a world cup on and AFL footy, the only consistent sport being shown on free to air is rugby. AFL missing a trick.

I noted that last week…don’t have foxtel so looking for a sporting fix, I watched NRL on both Friday and Saturday…strangely enough, I enjoyed both games
