What was called out by that idiot in the crowd during the berrettini interview post match?
Not sure aprently the fan that got kicked out was abusing Berrettini during the match
Sam groth looks ridiculously huge compared to the player he is interviewing… Matteo looked like a midget, even though he is taller than Groth. Is there something wrong with my tv or their weird set up?
from AO schedule site the Jan 27 schedule not available yet -
https://ausopen.com/schedule#!27361
there is this: If he’s at 11:00am then looks like he’ll be the first match. But there’s a doubles match listed too. Have to wait for schedule to be finalised.
Anyway - Dylan is pumped for it.
The Ks would be amazing if they knew how to play doubles.
Some players take their talent for granted & just coast through getting by in the tennis world. Others market their ■■■ off so achieving is a bonus. The top players try to do both & we have the men doing it better & for a lot longer than the women players. I appreciate the top women players @ the mo, not the ones seeded, they’re a given, but the ones that look like they’re ontop of their own game. They’re the ponies to follow.
Sexual assault, assault of a security guard and a fan telling berrettini to ■■■■ off all in the one night. These crowds have been a disgrace
That’s because rich stuck up little fudgewits & dippoocakes with way too much time & money on their hands don’t actually appreciate tennis. They’re the same ones that say why don’t women play 5 sets? The answer physiological.
I love the place but it is one big booze up, the amount of pop up bars and stands selling alcohol is eye opening when you walk around the place compared to 10+ years ago.
No surprise but capacity for the business end of the tournament has been upped to 65%
cornet getting eviscerated
Novak looked good last night. Thinking he will get the W. And on a side note, now that Medina is out of Pipe, Looking at Slater for the world title win!!!
Hot soccer mum giving Cornet a pasting
As we get to the business end of the tournament, Australian open director Craig Tiley has announced the Special Ks will be playing on rod Laver Arena on Thursday.
So too will Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott as he looks to end his incredible career with another title in the quad men’s singles final.
The best bit? A ground ticket will get you into the famous tennis court.
“We actually are going to move the Special Ks from Kia arena on to Rod Laver Arena,” Tiley said on Channel 9.
“Anyone coming on site tomorrow with a grand pass can get into Rod Laver Arena and watch them play and not before 2:30, followed by Dylan so stay and watch Dylan. We want to make Dylan’s match the most watched wheelchair tennis match in the history of the game tomorrow afternoon.”
I like both the Ks and follow their progress, but if they don’t get hammered in the doubles SF I’d be shocked.
I’m going to buy tickets for the session tomorrow so I don’t miss out on a seat.
Anyone know which side has the shade in the afternoon?
And would recommend any of the bays?
search for shade
CAT 1 Level Tickets:
These tickets are located in the first 21 rows (A-U) in the lower level of the stadium. The CAT 1 seats situated in the corners and behind the server will offer you the best shade during the day sessions.
CAT 3 and CAT 2 Upper level Tickets:
Tickets in the CAT 2 and CAT 3 levels offer great value as they come usually at a significant cost savings compared to the lower level seats while still offering great views of the action.
The Rod Laver Arena stadium was built for tennis, so there really isn’t any bad seats. There’s approximately 16 rows in the upper level, rows AA-PP. In addition, the upper level seats enjoy an abundance of shade throughout the entire day.
Awesome. I might buy bay 17 or 12 in the corners.
