The Tennis Thread - from Jan 2020 (Part 2)

A few years ago if you looked at De Minaur and Popyrin you knew that Popyrin had the highest ceiling.

De Minaur will give unquestionable effort, get the very best out of himself and be a consistent presence in the top 20 but Popyrin actually had the weapons and the physical stature to potentially be great.

I think over the last month or two we are starting to see that it’s coming together for him. Could be exciting!

Awesome result!!

Upsets happen. The outsider is always a chance.

■■■■ me that was intense - and I was only reading Blitz!

Time to watch sabalenka

Also, Novak’s record of rarely losing at this stage.

Not since 1977 the number 2 and 3 seed have been eliminated at a slam thats incridble

When Aussie Chris O’Connell knocks off Sinner tomorrow that will be the top 3 seeds gone :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Saba down 5-2 oh no

Kudos to Poppy beating the goat.

Alex played well all through the match

What a turn around from Saba 6-1 to take the second set

BIG SABA turning it up!

Shes a beast man i love her

Ripped the match away from Alexandrova

Absolutely all over her. 0-40 and about to be up 3-0.
