The Twit show Musk go on

Elon reckons that the climate change people have greatly exaggerated the impact of CO2 on the climate …. so he & I are on the same page there. Maybe your mate & yourself could read up a bit more on his thoughts, a man very much more intelligent that anyone on this thread, whom has every reason to push climate change, a man of completely independent thought, that sells electricity storage batteries & e-cars saying that the climate change from CO2 is greatly exaggerated … wowwee, there yuh go

Ah jeez

Elon did kind of say that recently.

Yep…two uninformed buffoons who think they know more than 95% of the world’s best climatologists.

That’s okay, there’s people that say the earth is flat too.

What he says will play out anyway.
(In terms of human behaviour - it will change slowly).

The pace though of climate change? I don’t think he really knows.

He has a lot of fluffers. But is he an actual genius?

Either way he seems like a trash human being, I don’t care if that’s the drugs, autism or his upbringing.

Space X achievements are overrated. He has made technical improvements for sure and has made advancements in reuse. but he has not really achieved any more than NASA . His MARS missions are looking a long way off if they go ahead at all, still to achieve a moon landing.

And yet Space X is now the preferred mechanism to transport people to the International Space Station, the preferred mechanism to basically so anything in a repeatable cost effective manner NOT NASA, not any other “carrier”.

Super Heavy can carry many times the weight of another “carrier” cheaper … NASA will pay Space X to go to the moon … says it all

NASA had to pay previous partners too. That’s kinda how it works.

SpaceX is very cool, and I admire their Elon containment technology most of all.

But as I said, it has been done before. Nothing new. Cheaper that is all

The in house and the external containment tech is hugely impressive. “Yes sir, we’ll certainly take that frankly astonishing idea on board…” “Please don’t ■■■■ this up Mr. musk, our shareholders aren’t as forgiving as Tesla’s”

SpaceX is currently building its second star factory on the space coast which is 3 times the size of the one at Boca Chica.

They will be building 2 others of similar size.

By 2030, SpaceX will be producing a fully stacked starship off their production line every 8 hours and will have 8 starship launch towers.

NASA struggles to produce an SLS every 2 years via its contractors.

Without Elon and SpaceX, there would be a handful of launches for US and its military yearly.

There are reasons not to like Elon, but understating what SpaceX is doing is just silly.

Here’s the thing… well my thing anyway.

He’s a dangerous psychopath who craves power and becomes more dangerous and more psychopathic the more he acquires.

I can’t/wont see past that just because the government gives him a shot ton of money to play space and add a few more Xs to the alphabet.

he turfed the inspector general who was investigating neuralink, plus his team now has access to transaction data through treasury

pretty concerning behavior

All I am saying that to date they haven’t achieved more than NASA. Remember NASA put people on the moon. Elon dreams about Mars but seriously we are no closer tp puting people on Mars. If you look at things like the MARS rover and JWST these are far greater achievements than what SPACEX have done. SPACEX has done some great things with reusability, and engine design but these do no come close to NASA achievements. Also those Astronauts are still up there, stranded by Boeing and Elon failing so far to bring them home. I havent even mentioned Elon cracking the sads over the rapid unscheduled disassembly of his rocket, and then going after the FAA

I’ll just pick this particular inaccuracy out of all you said. NASA sets the timeline on when SpaceX will bring them home. The astronauts are not stranded. Suni is in fact the commander of the ISS and just completed another 5 spacewalks. She now has the record of female hours in spacewalks.

NASA wanted SpaceX to use a new dragon capsule instead of 2 of the 4 others which SpaceX currently has available. Suni and butch can be brought back anytime but haven’t been due to impact on future missions.

primmer1978 might be referring to this squirt of fake sauce. I believe his response to Daddy was “Will do so”. Just a couple of good old boys making it sound like it’s happening tomorrow and they’re the heroes again. Never mind the clustershizen it would cause others.

ORLANDO, Fla. — President Donald Trump says he has instructed SpaceX to return two NASA astronauts “virtually abandoned” on the International Space Station since last summer, even though the company is already scheduled to bring them back in about two months.

SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk posted on X, the social media network he owns, late Jan. 28 that Trump had asked him to bring back astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore “as soon as possible.”

“The @POTUS has asked @SpaceX to bring home the 2 astronauts stranded on the @Space_Station as soon as possible. We will do so,” he stated. “Terrible that the Biden administration left them there so long.”

Yeah I said it was bullshit at the time. Trump being Trump.

They have never been stranded and could of come back anytime in case of an ISS emergency.
