The Twit show Musk go on

How much does it cost to send one? That’ll be enough.

It doesn’t get much more dystopian than that.

Is it more or less dystopian then putting them in prison?

What. A technology that can be used to control people’s behaviour. If it works why stop at criminals, make it mandatory for all ordinary non billionaire citizens and prevent crime before it happens. Then let’s tweak it to prevent dissent as well. Yeah it’s pretty dark.

Brilliant idea Elon, I’m sure the victims would love to see their rapists at the local shop with their electronic shadow.

Will the robot protect the murderer when the family of the child they killed spots them at the footy?

People think this guy is a genius. It’s easy as a trillionaire to vomit out a hundred brain farts, occasionally one sticks.

And will the murderer have to fork out for two seats to see a game?

At least they will only have to spend $20 on one pie and beer.

important to remember the reason Tesla’s share price is so inflated is because this bloke keeps coming up with absolute pearlers like this that are only 2* years away

But the investors and executives are making bank while he is the boss. Which is why they approved the ridiculous bonus structure.

With anything technology or policy that you see getting pushback, ask two questions:

  • How would people I don’t trust abuse this technology if they took power?
  • What dystopian future would a sci-fi writer imagine about this technology?

That takes the partisan politics out of it and shifts it to how it could impact you and those you know.

not sure what a robot in a board room could do to prevent systematic wage theft

-edit- yes i know wage thieves never go to jail anyway

Now you need to buy an extra ticket for the shadow person on planes, concerts etc, Threesomes now become foursomes, when will the madness end.

Not to mention all his brain farts have been hoovered from science fiction stories and pre-existing technology. It’s hilarious reading these mount sermons to teenagers, him sounding so prophetic and profound reconstituting c grade pulp from the 1960’s and putting a ‘social benefit’ spin on it. Oh, save us Elon!

These type of takes make me think Elon is the type of guy who reads Fahrenheit 451 and thinks “yeah, burning books IS a good idea”

If you think about it that way then basically any technology used by law enforcement is dystopian.

I wonder if Optimus (I mean, ffs, Optimus?) will get distracted by bright sunlight and take a wrong turn or ‘prevent’ a wrong person, like the cars do?
