The Twit show Musk go on

A fake Tesla YouTube page with an AI Elon sprooking crypto.
I know an AI Elon is almost impossible to differentiate to the real one, but…

Elon has stopped using YouTube for SpaceX launches (and I think for other comms) due to them not removing those crypto spam videos.

I remember when looking for a link to watch starship’s ift-2 flight, I clicked on half a dozen links which were all spam crypto vids before finding a real link.

The new “show probable spam” thing (which it never is) in Twitter is very annoying.

They could have just shown a photo from a proctologist’s textbook…a particularly diseased example of the genre.

I think this is the one where his hat is on backwards.

Ye gods, imagine being the richest man in the world and STILL being so pathetically insecure that you need to fake up pictures of yourself to post to your own twitter feed to make you look all rugged and outdoorsy (and many years younger and kg lighter than you actually are)

He’ll be topless on horseback , playing ice hockey and doing judo classes, shortly.

If we ARE living in a virtual reality universe like he suspects, Musk seems the obvious trolling bot program. Those two things - his belief this universe is most likely an AI creation and his farkwit behaviour - may not be unrelated, actually.

The last few days, all of the following accounts have been pushed into my feed. I’ve had to mute or block all of them.

  • JD Vance
  • Marjorie Taylor-Greene
  • Ann Coulter
  • Ted Cruz
  • Alex Jones
  • Don Jr
  • Melania
  • Lara
  • Anthony Scalise
  • Libs of TikTok
  • Dinesh D’Souza
  • James Woods
  • Rob Schneider

Boebert wasn’t there because I blocked her years ago.

Elon’s trying to turn it into farking Fox News online.

I have a rarely used Twitter account that was made as a parody for a video game to make jokes about their server, it follows 2 accounts, the video game it’s parodying and its major competitor.

The “for you” feed for it has become entirely Trumpian propaganda, so it’s a completely clean search history, i only open it to post, yet that’s what gets pumped into its feed

Wow. Not surprised but still, wow. Free speech bro

I saw that post, and while musk is a creepy apartheid fetishist and I wouldn’t put it past him to do something like this, I don’t for a moment think this leak is legit.

First of all, I do tech for a living, and there are standard slur lists used for automatic filtering , and they’re MUCH more extensive than this.

Second, no slur list used for automatic filtering, blocking, reporting on a social media platform is going to include words like ‘illegal’ or ‘cotton’. You’d just generate too many false positives. Can you imagine Twitter if everyone who tweeted the word ‘illegal’ got banned? It just isn’t happening.

Finally, and more tech-ish, no internal filter list is going to refer to user accounts by their actual username. One of the first rules of databases is that you ALWAYS have a unique numerical id for each data item, user etc, and internally to your system you always use that id rather than the username etc. I mean, just for one simple use case, Twitter allows users to change their user handles. If a user changed their name, would they need to suddenly update this list too? It’s just not plausible that Twitter is designed or implemented that way, from a tech point of view.

This is a fake, 100%

Damn, I fell for it.

I’ll delete the post in that case
