44.2 in Port Fairy…we usually get a couple of stinkers each summer, but generally the sea breeze comes in about 4-4.30…

This year, I added 2 roof vents, and close vented the fridge into the ceiling space.
This has been the first opportunity to see what it achieved, and it’s clear it’s made a significant difference.
Trouble being the forecast is for dry thunderstorms with plenty of lightning strikes.
Just cross you fingers they’re wrong on that one. And they may well be, … a look at the radar shows a bit of rain out there.
Looks like Adelaide is getting some relief there …??

Dropped to 40 and just had a light shower
Yeah, when I was in Dubai it got to over 50 and it was not this bad, though the nights in Dubai are ■■■■■■■ terrible
All I can say is that it felt cooler in 40+ heat in W.A earlier in the week than it does in Richmond right now.
The fire in our area got to within about 1km of our place but is under control ATM. Police have said at this stage it looks like it was caused by a cigarette tossed out of a car
And as I speak I just heard two of the loudest claps of thunder for sometime. That doesn’t bode well
Upside is potential for an epic sunrise. Great spot on Rucker’s Hill looking over the city.

Yeah it’s all good. Was just a grass fire that spread very rapidly. Burnt up to the edge of town and even into parts of the Primary school but they have it under control now. House smells a bit Smokey but the wind direction has changed which is blowing it away now

Only a few drops here, but windy as buggery. Temp down to 35.
Just left the ‘relative’ cool of fern tree gully (39) to go to a Christmas function in Brunswick (45) it’s incredibly Smokey here

Just came back from a Surf at Twin Reefs, … was better.
Ice cold beer from the esky afterwards, … even better, . er.
Invy doctor rolled in about 4, … dropped to 33 or so, and now a lovely 27.
