We have some friends staying with us indefinitely who aren’t sure if they have a house from the out of control bushfires about 20km north of us @ Buxton / Balmoral where the 2 x RFS fire fighters died last night RIP

The shift in climate drivers include the return of the so-called Indian Ocean Dipole to neutral conditionas after one of the strongest positive events to impact Australia on record.
The IOD - which gauges relative warmth between the western and eastern Indian Ocean - is forecast to remain neutral in the coming months, with little influence on the Australian and global climate, the bureau said.
“However, the IOD’s legacy of widespread warm and dry conditions during the second half of 2019 primed the Australian landscape for bushfire weather and heatwaves this summer,” it said on Tuesday.
