A girl who fancied me once told me she lived in Vectis "East."
I laughed so much she didn't fancy me anymore.
Edit: Come to think of it, singing 'Vectis' to the tune of INXS's's 'Jackson' probably didn't help the fancying either.
I'm sittin' in a bar, nibblin' a jar in Vectis
And on the street the summer sun it shines
There's many a bar-room queen
I've had in Vectis
But I just can't seem to drink you off my mind
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
I laid a divorcee in Horsham
I had to put up some kind of a fight
The lady she all dressed me up in roses
She blew my nose and then she blew my mind
I was heading down to Warrnambool/Port Fairy today thinking I'd get some of the wild, windy weather the area seems to be famous for...well rugged up.
Could have taken my shirt off...beautiful day....although there was a heap of standing water on the sides of the roads. Apparently the weather was as inclement, if not more, than in Melbourne this week.

Khancoban.
Try and say it without putting on an exotic accent. Can't be done.
Over-hyped. The way the ■■■■■■ on the main stations were talking you would think it was the end of the world.
Have we never seen string winds before? Has it never been below 10 at 6pm in July?
Same with Melbournians complaining about Melbourne weather. Why does it ■■■■■■■ surprise you every time? You've lived here for years and its been exactly the same.

When I was walking in Vectis.
I was walking with my feet ten feet off... Quantong-Polkemmet
Walking in Vectis
But do I really feel the way I feel...
... and, where the fark am I?
