1.10 pm put on sunscreen, head to beach temp 40.5C
1.15 pm arrive at beach 26C and howling southerly whipping up sand
1.20 pm go home

Definitely a bit cooler now. Amazing when 34 degrees actually feels pleasant! Tipping another 5-6 degree drop in the next half an hour…

La Niña summer.

MJO has moved away from us for a bit though so things should settle down a bit I think. Plenty of action to continue out in the South Pacific.
I’ve chuckled at folks complaining about this summer though… like they’d prefer last summer when half the country was on fire…
