I have to cancel work if it’s above 37 at 4pm.

Thought I maybe had the day off, not as hot as predicted

It’s a good excuse to sit inside and watch the cricket

Port Fairy had 40.9 at 12.15, and 27 at 1pm.

Still pretty hot inland. I heard 40 at Ararat from a neighbour.

47 in Ouyen

Was there a rule back in the day that if it reached a certain temperature you’d get sent home from school?

Mum had an unofficial rule for us. If it hit 40 she’d come take us home.

What’s day 2 of Boxing Day test pls

I was thinking it was 40 and you’d go home. We didn’t have air conditioning at home so wouldn’t make much difference, though we were allowed to get a slupee from 7/11.

No rain on the models for the first few days. That being said it’s still a fair distance off, so far from set in concrete.
GFS (US Model) suggest hot to very hot, ECMWF (Euro Model) suggest warm, but not as hot as GFS.

I have to cancel work when the crickets on.

Very humid today on the Gold Coast. Dew point at ~25c, 91% humidity. It’s sticky!

You have to enjoy humid conditions to cope with a day like today. Thankfully I’m in the minority who thrive on it…
